The Philly Fringe Festival has become so spread out and decentralized, it’s hard to tell there is a festival going on. Years ago, everything was happening in Olde City — the box office, venues, street performers, and free outdoor events. Now you get a catalog of events which are all over the city. It’s hard to get from one to another except by car. There are more shows, but they take a lot more planning to get to and are more expensive. Ah, progress!
